Youbemom has a more user friendly platform; UrbanBaby has more informed, interesting New Yorkers posting (lots of discussion about various nyc schools (private/specialized, etc), investment bank bonuses, etc.) but no search, gets flooded with weird SPAM at night, etc. UrbanBaby posters seem more socioeconomically privileged, educated; Youbemom has more economic and geographic spread. Compared to the two, DCUM is very well-designed, easy to navigate.
Just my 2 cents -- started posting on the original UrbanBaby 17 years ago -- lived through the Bugaboo wars and have the scars to show for it. Sigh -- where did the years go. |
