I live in Northern Baltimore county, and our small neighborhood hasn't yet been plowed by the county. One of my neighbors owns a landscaping business so used a bobcat sort of thing to create a really rough one lane path (passable if you have AWD). Even so, one of the streets didn't even get that-- their snow is still untouched.
We know who to call (or do we?) but just wondering how the rest of the county is looking, and of course, when my kids will ever go back to school. So how do the streets look, near you? |
| Doesn't Baltimore have some sort of equivalent to DCUM? I would think you would get more responses if you posted there. |
| Nope! That's why I posted here. |
Ha! No. I moved here from DC and was really shocked by how little these people rely on anonymous websites for advice and camaraderie. They all seem to have a lot of actual friends and trusted family that they turn to for answers to questions like the ones posted here. Real people. That said, when I am stuck at home for five days and counting, there is nothing like dcum for some high quality entertainment. The cat fights! The over zealous and self-righteous! I just can't get enough. About the snow plow, I'm sorry! I think they are just completely overwhelmed and haven't gotten to everyone yet. Ours finally came about midnight last night. Hope you have what you and your family need!! If not, this is a really friendly area and a neighbor will definitely help you out! |
No, it doesn't. And there are plenty of Baltimore-area posters here, DCUM is for people in DC, MD and VA. OP, Baltimore County is claiming to have plowed like 98% of streets and they have a phone number to call if your street wasn't plowed yet...just google Baltimore County emergency management for their website. |

Lol at that. OP here. I am a native, but yes, love DCUM and occasionally see a Baltimore topic covered.

| Thank you, 9:16! Although plowed streets may still be a long way from passable by school buses... |
| Another Baltimore County parent here. I'd call the number every day to let them know you still haven't been plowed. We live in a cul de sac and the only reason we are mostly plowed is that we (all of the neighbors) dug ourselves out. We are in Cockeysville. |
| Thanks! We got plowed this morning! (Timonium). OP |
| I'm in Harford county...hoping they go back Monday! |
