anyone have the evenflo triumph advance convertible car seat

just bought this. rated high for safety on most recent consumer reports ratings. I'm having great trouble tightening the belt used with the latch system. it simply won't budge. anyone else have this problem? help! thanks.

this is the most annoying carseat ever...

it may be safe, but it is not user friendly, we bought it at first because it looked like great value for the price, but had the same problem you are having...

ended up using it as a secondary carseat in our second car, but we find tightening/loosening the seatbelt to be really tricky and our child doesn't seem to find the seat comfortable

we are soooo much happier with our britax roundabout

We have 2 of these car seats--one in each car. Only one of our cars has the LATCH system and we had the same problem with the belt not being tight enough. It just seemed too wobbly for our liking. Someone recommended the Mighty Tite seat belt tightener, and it really worked. We have one in each car. Also, my husband had to get into the car and lean all of his weight on the seat to tighten the belts initially.

But, for the money, I think this seat is just fine. I too bought it because of its safety rating. I've heard people complain about not being able to tighten the straps once the child is in the seat. I never had this problem. There's a dial down on the base that you hold while tugging on the straps. Seems pretty easy to me. My child seems to comfortable in it. But then again, we don't have anything to compare it to, since this is our first child.
