What is the lowest amount of follicles you have had at IVF retrieval time? My RE usually wants to see 10-12 follies but currently I have only 6-7 with a possible trigger on Wednesday. I assume that the likelihood of all 6-7 being retrieved is unlikely and of those retreived how many would make it thru to blast stage?

I always ended up with a few more eggs retrieved than the number of follicles visualized on the last ultrasound prior to retrieval.
Regardless, many, many women get between 6-8 eggs retrieved. This is a pretty normal number for women over 35. However, many clinics will not push embryos to a blastocyst transfer unless there are 6-8 great looking embryos at day 3. With your numbers, you will likely do a day 3 transfer. If you don't have a ton of embryos to allow to chose from, it's best to get them back early! |

6 follies, 6 retrieved, 5 mature, 4 fertilized, 3 made it to day 3. One healthy baby due in 15 weeks.
Keep the faith. |
| AFC was six going in and they retreived 12. Four fertilized and transferred. One baby on the way. |
| 4 follies. IVF canceled, converted to IUI. One two year old adorable two year old. |
| There were 11 for me - 7 were of mature size only for some reason, 4 fertilized, 3 went to days 3 and 5. Implanted one, and am 24 weeks now. |
| I started with 7 folicles, they retrieved 6 good looking eggs, 4 fertilized and were transfered. Our twins are 2. |
