Can I put up a fence in my yard?

| Looking at real estate, and interested in a lot in Arlington on a busy road. However I've heard that some places don't allow you to build fences in the front yard? Who do I ask to confirm, the house might be fine for us as long as I knew I could reduce the risk of a child or pet running into the street. |

| You can put a low fence. Not a 6 foot tall one. |
