| or do they need something smaller ? |
| The best one is the one your child likes. |

The Wubbanubs worked for our newborn. The pacifier attached is a 0-3 month Soothie, which is the same pacifier we gave our older child before we discovered Wubbanubs.
The Wubbanubs are nice because they help keep the pacifier from falling out of the baby's mouth. Our son is 5 months old now, and it is nicer because the stuffed animal makes it much easier for him to grasp and maneuver the pacifier back into his mouth when it does fall out. |
| The great thing about Wubbanubs for newborns is that they have a weighted beanie baby, so the animal will sit on DC's chest and keep the pacifier in his/her mouth. |
| Yes, our preemie got the Soothie paci in the NICU, so the wubbanub work perfectly for us when he was older. |

Life would not have been the same without that thing!!! Crucial!!!!!!
However, the ducky one is the best. Others don't stay in as well that I tried, but there's so many. This was our best one (ducky) http://amzn.to/1UbI1Bk |
Ok great. I didn't know if the beanie baby causes any risks to newborns. |

For whatever reason, our newborn didn't like the WubbaNubs or the Soothie Pacis. I think she had trouble sucking them/keeping them in her mouth. She preferred Nuk 0-3 months when she was in infant.
However, since she's gotten stronger, WubbaNubs are her favorite. |
| My baby also adored her WubbaNubs. We got her all kids of animals though, and she would ONLY take the giraffe paci or the monkey paci. Puppy, sheep, tiger -- nope!!!! |
Same here. My 4 weeks old will only take Nuk. |
| seeing toddlers walk around with those things are not cute |
| Does animal increase SIDS risk? Safe to sleep with? |
| My baby only took the Nuk pacifiers. |
It doesn't increase SIDS risk, but it does increase suffocation risk. I'd let the baby sleep with it during the day, but keep checking on him/her and remove it from the crib at night. |
good thing we're talking about newborns then idiot |
