Just some feel-good news (and something to balance out all the racist threads lately):

| It is a great story and a brave and heroic act by Mr. Foxx, but I don't know why you had to inject race into it. |
| Thanks for posting! |

I didn't read the link above so don't know if it's already mentioned but one thing worth noting is that in the blurb I heard about it this morning, they said there was a camera that showed many cars passing by the scene before Jamie Foxx stopped to help the person out.
So on the one hand one might wonder, why are they making a big deal about the actions that you'd hope anyone would do. But then you realize that not everyone may be so willing to stop and help or recognize when help is needed. So a special action indeed... |
| It makes me a big fan of Mr. Foxx. Also makes me want to break down and buy one of those hammers you can use to break car windows, with a blade to slice these at belt. One of the stories made me think he used this device. |
| Wow, that's great. Good for him. |
Cool |

umm the other part of the story is that another person who happened to be an off duty EMT with a tool to free the passenger was there as well.
The off duty EMT doesn't have a PR team o promote himself. The CHP couldn't confirm Foxx's involvement, but the agency did say two witnesses helped extricate the driver, giving similar details to Foxx's account. His role in the rescue was first reported by celebrity website TMZ. The name of the paramedic who stopped and helped was not immediately available. http://www.newser.com/article/11f833c3b7cc4ebfbef706cec745acdf/oscar-winner-jamie-foxx-and-an-off-duty-paramedic-rescue-driver-from-burning-vehicle.html |
| He is so damn hot. This just makes him hotter |
+1. Some folks are absolutely obsessed |
Ugh, he is so damn gross! This makes him tolerable, though, as it was a very brave thing to do. |
