My 3 year old is obsessed with trucks and we've amassed quite a few as a result of Christmas and birthdays. They are overtaking our small house as most are too big to fit into toy storage bins. Any clever suggestions on ways to store them and minimize the clutter? |
I have two shoeboxes from boots. One has trucks, the other has all other forms of transportation. I freaked my daughter out by buying transportation wrapping paper and wrapping each box. |
Get the large Sterlite bins from Walmart or Target. Even the big trucks can be piled up in those. It will save more space than "parking" them side by side against the wall. |
I park them side by side, but they take up SO much room. I hate the idea of a giant bin, but sounds like it might be the only way. |
Shelves. Like a parking garage. |
We use a toy box. It's large enough to fit DD's Green Toys trucks. For her hot wheels cars we got a cute bin from the container store. Also we used Ikea's storage, about the size of a small Billy bookcase but it has slide out bins, to put her mid range size toys in. Dinosaurs and trucks too big for the hot wheels bin and too small for the toy box go there. |
We just got a couple of these and use one for trucks. I'm happy to finally have them tucked away and DS has no problem getting to the ones he wants. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00G5JGU72/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1453083923&sr=8-1&pi=SX200_QL40&keywords=sprout+toy+box&dpPl=1&dpID=41zPV5b-4hL&ref=plSrch |
we do this too. We have a corner of the playroom where the trucks all park in multiple rows. |
In a toy garage. |
We use an extra large laundry basket. |
