Watch this clip and listen to his speech. What's wrong, Chan-chan? Does he have a cold? Did he get punched in the face? In the nose? Braces?
Something about the way he's talking is distinctly off.

He does sound much different than he has on other interviews. Hope he is OK.

True, he did go to rehab many years ago while Friends was still on the air, but he doesn't look impaired here. He just sounds very nasal so perhaps he's sick or perhaps this is just what he sounds like 20 years later.

My sister sounds and talks like that, droopy face, from her Bell's Palsy. He doesn't seem to be intoxicated or high.

Sounds fine to me! Not sure why he's the only Friend not involved in the Friends reunion thing.

He definitely has some paralysis. I don't think he can move the right side of his upper lip, and it might affect his throat and tongue on that side, as well. He speaks a little slowly and over-enunciates to make himself understood, and still he has a lisp. That said, he's hardly debilitated, and he seems to otherwise be in good shape.

I had Bell's palsy five years ago and it has never made me a lisp. I'm sure there are other manifestations of it – I do have a bit of a droop on one side when tired and my eye looks small when I smile – but this seems like something else is going on. Definitely odd.

I'm assuming it's from doing too much coke and it having eaten away his nasal passages. Maybe he is still doing it? He blinks very rarely in that video clip--once or twice.

I'm not seeing anything. He does seem sharp and not slurring his words so doesn't seem like he is on drugs or drinking.

I hope he stays sober - his article in People a few years ago about how grateful he is for being sober was really touching.
