Can you tell I'm new at this? My DD is 10 months old,and people have started asking if we're on lists for schools. When did you start the process, and can anyone recommend their preschool in DC? I 'd prefer to do charter and save some money, but if you really love your private school, I'd love to hear about it too. We live in Brookland but I am open to drivng to another part of town.
Thanks! |
many people send 2, 3 and 4 year olds to pre-school part or full time. pre-k starts at age 4 at public schools and some charter schools. |
you typically cannot apply to preschool until the fall before you want your child to enter; some schools start at 2, but many require children to be 2 1/2 by sept or oct |
Some preschools do accept applications earlier. I know some Montessori schools accept them any time. We got on a few lists at 10 months. I would start looking now. |
