What to put in a time capsule?

My cousin is putting a time capsule together for her nephews....they're turning 1 and will open it when they turn 18.

Any creative ideas for things to put inside of it?

Thinking of:
Magazines
Newspapers
CD of popular songs of today
receipts showing gas prices (maybe some grocery store prices too)

Some ideas:

1. Printout or save to CD a few pages from popular websites. You may want to print a few in color, actually. I'm not sure how long CDs are supposed to last, or if that will still be a usuable medium in 18 years.
2. A couple of bestselling books
3. Loose change - a few quarters, pennies, nickles, dimes
4. Small popular toys or novelty items.
5. Catalogs
6. Series of photos on what things look like now, in your neighborhood/town. Popular restaurants, gas station, the library, your home, your car.
7. Street map of your area
