Apps for Kindergarten Tablets?

My kid's K class started using tablets in the classroom late last year - seems to be mainly for when they have finished activities. My kid seems to be mostly watching pbskids, with some starfall and other apps that are a bit limited (free version). I am wondering how other K classes are handling apps. What is offered for kids? Is it only free apps, and if not, how are they paid for?
Anyone have ideas on what apps are good at this age, for non-readers and fluent readers, variety of levels of math? |
