I just got my FSH Day 2 results back- it was 8.4. Is this high? The nurse really didn't explain much...
I am 30. My AFC was 17. I don't know if I should be worried or not! I have left a message for the dr. but am antsy. Thanks in advance. |
| Anything below 10 is considered good. I am 32 and my FSH has ranged from 9.3 to 10.3, which the RE described as "borderline". Do you know your estrogen level? if that is high it make your FSH low (even if your eggs aren't good quality). but that is probably rare in someone who is 30. good luck!!! |

Anything under 10 is fine, providing that your estrogen level is normal (abnormally high estrogen levels can sometimes artificially lower FSH).
Plus your antral follicle count is fantastic. AND you age (really young at only 30) is probably the most important variable of all. Even if your FSH was elevated (which it isn't) age is the most important prognosticator of success. Young women with elevated FSH tend to do fine with IUI/IVF stimulation, etc. |
| As a high fsher, I agree that 8.4 is perfectly normal. Your AFC and age are more important and they're great. |
OP here- thanks so much for your help. This whole thing is daunting, so to know that the initial numbers are okay calms me a bit.
