You have it exactly right. No one here is supporting the Proud Boys - but as you said, they have permits to march. They have followed the law and they are entitled to free speech. Antifa can't stand that and will try and silence them by any means possible. But not *only* Proud Boys - also the media and the police. And there are people right here on DCUM who are DEFENDING Antifa.
