| Do you regret them? Are they easy to keep clean? We will be building next year, so I have been looking at a lot of kitchens on Houzz. The white cabinets have been catching my eye, but I don't want to make the mistake of choosing them and find out that they are dirty all the time from cooking and just daily use. Tia! |
| I love our white cabinets. It is so much better than my previous house's dark cherry cabinets. I did renovation for both kitchens and didn't go with the white thinking that it would be horrible since I had toddlers. But the kitchen looks so much brighter and lighter and nicer. Never regretted it at all. |
| Ours were here in the house, new, when we moved in. 2 years later and I still love them. They are super easy to wipe down, but we rarely have to. |
| I don't regret them one bit and they're not hard to keep clean at all. If I were doing a new kitchen, I wouldn't consider any other color unless I felt like being bold and doing a gray island or something. I also have marble counters and haven't been able to understand why so many people claim they stain. They're beautiful and completely stain-free. |

I love my white kitchen. The color never goes out of style. All wood finished go out of style in about 10 years, so the kitchen looks dated. With my white cabinets, I can change the knobs to update the style or install new countertops and backsplash to be right on trend again.
They are not hard to keep clean and they wear better than you would expect. White kitchens are rarely the "in" thing, but they are usually not too far down the list. When I have renovated houses, I always am glad to see a white kitchen. Even when a kitchen is only 10 years old, the wood choice can be outdated. To bring the house up to date, we have to replace the whole kitchen. It's a shame because many of the cabinets are very high quality. |

Agree with the PPs. I like my bright white kitchen. I actually find it easy to keep clean because I notice any spots and wipe them off immediately -- there's no surprise "gah how did this get so dirty, now I have to do a deep clean of everything". But I'm also not a person who cares about being trendy.

Agree with all of this. Wood styles come and go quickly, and when we have looked to buy a house with a 10 year old wood kitchen, we usually price out with the expectation that we would want to redo the kitchen. White kitchens can be 20 years old, and as Pp noted, you just put new hardware, backsplash, countertop and appliances and it's like your kitchen is brand new. We also don't find ours hard to keep clean with a toddler. But we have always had a housecleaner every 2 weeks so that helps. |

I inherited them with the house. I thought they might be a disaster, but they've proved wonderful. I fell in love with Magic Erasers and use them to brighten the cabinets. They had yellowed from years of cooking. The Magic Erasers cleared that all away with ease. No regrets. |
| Don't you wash your hands before you start prepping food? Our white cabinets stay quite clean. |
| I also inherited white cabinets - likely from the late 70s. They are in very good shape! Clean up so easily and the kitchen is so lovely and bright with the morning sun. When we replace, I'll stick with all white, though maybe a bold color on an island. |
| Bought my condo with white cabinets. Wasn't too sure about it at first since I've always had wood cabinets. But after a year I think it makes my small kitchen look bright and bigger. Plus you really do see the spills and can clean up easy. |
| Quarterly I use a bucket and really wipe them down. Spills are so easy to see. Dark cabinets must hide a lot of gunk. |
| I love our white cabinets, they make our kitchen look twice as big as it did w/ oak cabinets. The one thing I don't love is the chipping paint-- it's not a huge deal, but a couple of high-use places (like the pull out trashcan) have small imperfections now. I'm sure no one casually looking would notice, but it bothers me. |
| How many of you have painted wood and how many have the high gloss non-wood (laminate?) cabinets? |
| LOVE it, regret I didn't get them earlier |
