admission to the spanish immersion program is by lottery. your odds of winning the lottery are low as many families outside of the neighborhood also vie for those spots. more and more neighborhood kids seem to be going to the school and families seem to like the new principal. however, when you ask parents about the school, they're more apt to say, "it's ok" "it's not bad" rather than "it's such a great school." you get sort of lukewarm feedback. hopefully the new principal will keep improving the school.
