Palisades PreK Options

I've just moved from NYC and am lost when it comes to school. My husband and I both work. I have a 5yr old who just started Kindergarten at Key today - yay! I have a 2.5 year old who had been at home with a nanny in NYC but we now need to figure out what to do for him.

For this year, I've read the daycare spreadsheet but would love opinions of daycare or other options in the Palisades area.

No matter what I do, I think I'll need a caregiver from 3-6pm to do pick ups and start dinner while we finish work, so maybe it's best to just have one all day? If that's the case... anybody know of a good one?

For PreK 3 next year, it looks like I need to apply soon. The options I've found from other postings are Palisades Preschool, Spring Valley Montessori or Little Grace's. Are there are others I should check out for PreK 3 in this area? I don't understand the other options with co-ops, DCPCS, etc. Priorities are convenience to Key School, cost (under 10K ideally), and quality, of course.

So many questions, I know, but I really am starting from scratch. Previous listings have been helpful, but also just gave me more questions!

No answers for you, but I have a toddler and am interested in hearing feedback on the programs you mention and / or other options.
