We're hoping to find a nice, small-ish hotel in one of these places. Something romantic, friendly, and not overrun with a bazillion kids.
It could be a traditional hotel, an eco-resort, a B&B or whatever. We've enjoyed some unusual places, and loved them (e.g. the tentalo in a fancy treehouse at this place in Panama: http://www.redfrogbungalows.com). Appreciate any and all thoughts and suggestions! |
| Loved Cap Juluca on our honeymoon. Very few kids. The most beautiful spot I've been on this earth. |
| We loved the Cuisinart resort. I debated between there and cap julica. In the end it worked for us. We went to Cap Julica for lunch and it was nice but definitely posher. Cuisinart felt more laid back. I wouldn't say either are small on the scale of a b&b (thO definitely not big like a sandals). We saw one kid at cuisinart; I thought Cap was adults inly but not sure. You might look into just renting a condo in the wAter if you do Anguilla. Or I think the resort attached to the Straw Hat (?) got good reviews, tho I think more kids. The island is super easy to drive and lots of great (expensive) restaurants. Have fun! |
| Hotel attached to the Straw Hat is Frangipani -- we stayed there about 4 years ago and it was nice. We had a lovely time and loved the food at the Straw Hat. Overall not as upscale or luxurious as Cap Juluca and Cuisinart. If we were to go back and it fit within our budget, I would stay at Cap Juluca. |
