| What would you say are must do's with young kids at disney ? I have 2girls - 3 and 6. Thx ! |
| Do they like rides? Are they Princess obsessed? Do they love Nick Jr? |
|
Important questions from pp!
Do they like shows (plays that sort of thing)? Do they do well at sit down places? Do they like Star Wars or pirates? |
| Peter Pan Ride. Space Mountain(for the older one). Biz light ride is great. Pocahontas is in the safari if they like that. Dinner reservations for character dinner at the castle. The parade at night is great. Disney is amazing. Make sure you use your pass for rides that usually have long lines. |
| Relax and have fun! I've seen tons of people yelling at crying children because they are overtired. Don't do that and it should be fun! |
| Op here - Little one is into princesses, older is into animals. They don't love rides. They like wild kratts, Daniel tiger, bubble guppies, miles from tomorrow land, Sofia. Thx for suggestions ! |
| Op here - forgot to add, they like shows but don't do well at sit down in general ! |

The only place to see Disney Junior characters is Hollywood Studios. My 3.9 year old loved the Little Mermaid ride in Magic Kingdom and show in Hollywood studios. Get a tour plan from touring plans.com.
At those ages, it's not hard to go on all the rides you want if you plan well. Sometimes you can even go twice. You may want to consider showing your kids some more Disney movies to get them excited. |
Then why go to Disney? I'm just curious... |

Character meetings for the little one. You can also dine with princesses at the castle or at Akershus in Epcot. Princess make-over at bippity-boppity-bo.
Animal Kingdom can end up 2 days if you spend time seeing all the animals, doing the shows, and some of Wilderness Explorers (your 3yo would be too young but 6yo would love it if she's into nature). For rides at MK, Barnstormer is the little kids coaster but they'd probably love Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, and 7 Dwarves. I didn't find HS to be all that for little kids, but as PP said, it's the place you'll find Disney Jr. |
| When we were planning our trip, a friend told us--whatever you do, don't miss the parades. I thought she was crazy. Thankfully I heeded her advice. Both the afternoon parade and the evening parade were fantastic. And of course don't miss the fireworks after the parade. Little ones may need naps in late afternoon to have some energy for the evening. |
| There's lots of princess stuff at MK. Use fast passes to meet Anna and Elsa, and Cinderella (which is actually a little show). We also liked Under the Sea with Ariel, which we used Fast Passes for. I'd also do AK. Do the safari and the Lion King show. |
| Pirates of the Caribbean. My then 4 year old DD went on this 4 times. |
I'd skip the meal plan, and table service meals in general. The character ones can take 90 minutes. We did 1 per day (because of the meal plan) and the kids were miserable. 1 total would have been fine. |

Animal Kingdom has a ton of stuff for the one who likes animals. My favorite show is the bird show- Flights of Wonder.
At MK, Jungle Cruise, Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Winnie and Buzz ride should be good. The Tiki Room and Country Bears Jamboree has fun music and if they hate it, it's easy to escape. Epcot has the princesses at Askerhaus. And DHS has disney jr. show. |
