I've bought soooo many mattresses over the years and can't seem to find anything comfortable for a chronic bad back situation. Would love to hear your ideas. TIA |
I sleep on the floor when I have back pain. Helps straighten it out. But if you have gone through many mattresses, maybe it is not the mattress? Yoga, chiro, acu are great for back pain. |

Tempur-Pedic mattress plus yoga. (I got the best price online then got one of those back stores to sell to me at that price including tax, plus free delivery.) |
Love my Select Comfort bed! Love that I can adjust the firmness to suit my whim. We have had two - one bare bones model (now in guest room), and one somewhat fancier with more padding and remote control. As much as I like the remote control, I prefer the cheaper model of the bed better. The padding on the fancier bed makes me hot, and I like the more direct feel of the firmness or softness on the cheaper model. |
just remember, when shopping for a mattress, BARGAIN with the salesperson. I didn't know that was the norm, had never done it, just paid the price on the tag. Someone told me it was like buying a car--you an "haggle" a bit...never again have I paid the stated price on the tag...

We have a simmons mattress and I'm very happy with it. I used to have back pain - but not bad enough to require doctor visits and medication. |
