Knights of Columbus summer camp

How quickly does their camp fill up? Registration opens in February whereas the other camps we are considering open in January. It is close to our house and I like that they swim quite a bit. I would leave some weeks open but I'm worried we then won't get in.

Are you a returning family? They will fill up most of their slots on priority registration day, but they typically open up more slots a couple months later. Plus some families will drop weeks they don't end up needing.

If you leave weeks open and don't get in there for some, look at other camps that fill up more slowly. YMCA camps and mad science fill up later, among others

We are not a returning family. Our oldest is in K now so we are figuring this out for the first time. Any other recs of nearby full day camps?

I'm in the same position as you, OP, figuring this out for the first time. A few others I've found, although I have not tried any of them:

Camp Columbia in Falls Church
Camp Kids Place (you had to pre-register before Jan 1 - but one to keep in mind for next year)
Arlington County runs some camps
Steve and Kate's in Alexandria
Congressional - location is not convenient but they run busses
