Is anyone else appalled by NBCs horrific New Years program?

We flipped on the TVs to watch the ball drop at about 11:45-11:50.

Didn't realize we were on NBC instead of Ryan Seacrest.

I went to pour champagne flutes while my elementary kids popped on the couch ready to count down.

Naked profile pictures of Justin Bieber, penis and scrotumn jokes and a bunch of other unbleeped vulgarity blares from the TV before it registered what was going on and we got the TV off.

What a classless, vulgar, awful escuse for a New Years program. I am still.pissed.

The teens and 20 somethings that might find that sorry escuse for humor a little bit funny aren't watching TV at mignight...they are out partying. The only people watching on TV are grandparents and parents/sitters at home watching with their kids. I hope they get an FCC fine (even if the amount is just a slap on the wrist AND that NBC issies a public apology.

It was truly awful.

Obviously you didn't watch the programing.

It makes the after hours housewives show with Andy Choen look like family programming. It was that bad.

NP here, I'm not prudish- but I was also a bit surprised at jerk off jokes and curse words on NBC.

It was a bit over the top. Possible they were drunk.

I don't have children, so I wouldn't say I still remembered how bad it was until this morning.
But it was really out of line. Whitney Cummings thinks she's funny, and her saying things for shock value at the wrong venue.

She made some joke about Bill Clinton finally being able to jerk off to Hillary because of something or other, don't remember the punch line and they didn't bleep it.

it was out of line for how many children would be awake and watching at that hour on that night.

I saw it and agree that it was unwatchable- and it was only the adults watching. It wasn't funny or entertaining. I couldn't watch it for more than 5 min.

The goal of these New Years programs now is like the office Christmas party -- see people outside of their formal roles.

I agree with OP. Couldn't have they have saved the all tasteless, crude jokes until after midnight? I thought NBC would be safe to watch with my pre-teens.

Who were the hosts?

It was a horrible, pathetic excuse for programming. The jokes were offensive and the dark-haired lady was trying too hard. I'll be sticking with Ryan and Pitbull (yup, I really said that).

Andy Cohen, NeNe from housewives, some really crass person named Brittney (no idea who she is but she even appeared to make Andy uncomfortable with her attempts at humor) and I think one other person.

It was truly awful, and completely live to boot with no delay.

I can't decide if the discussion of Justin Bieber's dad's twitter pride at the size of Justin's penis or the whacking off and scrotumn jokes on live TV are tye crown jewels of the night.

(We had it on for less than five minutes before we realized what was happening and changed the channel)

Whitney Cummings and Carson Daly.

Anyone is better than Jenny McCarthy who was on with Ryan Seacrest.

Agree with you 110%, OP. So disheartening.

I enjoyed it. I don't know why you'd let your kids stay up so late?
