Different poster here. If immediate family (parent or sibling) has a trust (including a will) - and it is done to avoid probate, is there any "reading" or way to find out what was on the document? Can immediate family be left out of the procedure entirely?

There is no reading. Trusts are secret. The trustee will know the details.

A trust is only the business of the settlor, the beneficiary(ies) and the trustees.
