Why was a perfectly OK post removed?

The recent post was about the history of discrimination against Irish, Polish, and Italian Catholics and was in defense of the anti-Catholic comments being made. It wad eloquently written and was not in any way offensive. Not sure why it disappeared, but can you please see if you can get the post back on the thread? Thank you.

I removed an anti-Catholic post that contained several negative stereotypes of Catholics. The post that you are asking about quoted the anti-Catholic post. It makes no sense to remove a post be leave it as a quotation.

I've about had it with that thread anyway. There are bigots on both sides of the argument and it is hard even to say which are worse.

Oh, good, so maybe you will have the thread removed? From now on, I will just report each and every anti-Catholic post. I just can't believe these people get away with trashing a religion. It would never fly if it were Jewish or Muslim bashing. Sorry, but I have just about had it.

I really don't want to remove the entire thread because it goes back to 2010. I'll see if I can get rid of the Catholic-bashing posts that are more recent. Please report anti-Catholic posts. There are a lot of complaints posted publicly about anti-Catholicism on the website, but I get very few reports. So, I often have no idea about what people are talking.

Okay, I gave it a shot, but then I realized there were inappropriate posts going back to the first page. So, I've removed the thread. I'm surprised that survived for 5 years without complaints until recently.
