| My son is interested in the IB program, but we'd have to pupil place as our zoned school is Langley. Anyone else been in the same situation, and if so, which school did your child go to for IB? Were you happy with the choice? Anything else we should know? TIA! |

It depends on which HS is closest to your house as to which IB program your DC would attend. Also remember, you will have to provide the transportation.
We know several youth in our church that have attended either SL or Marshall. All have been happy with their choices. |

Plug your address into Google maps. Then plug in SL and Marshall, and see which is closer, in terms of miles-- that's your IB school. If the difference is only a mile or so, you may be able to choose if you articulate a reason-- like transportation needs.
Here is a recent thread with helpful info on managing transportation for SL: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/516510.page#7961626 |
| SL would be your IB school. |
| Thanks, PPs! |
I would think that Marshall would be the IB option if you lived in the parts of McLean that feed into Langley, and that South Lakes would be the option if you lived in Great Falls or the parts of Herndon, Reston and Vienna that feed into Langley. OP really needs to check the distance to each school from her house. |
