I find this curious. There are so many other threads on here about affairs, why are anonymous posters reluctant to say where they met their affair partners?

I'm not asking about specific names of restaurants but just wondering more generally.

We lived next door to the woman who became my husband's girlfriend. I guess I always thought - if he ever did cheat - it would be a fairly cliche place that he'd meet the OW, like the gym, but I guess next door was even more cliche.

Old friends from high school. Caught up and sparks flew.

I was the OW. Our kids are good friends, that's how we met. It wasn't immediate. Took well over a year for it to take a turn to inappropriateness.

Needless to say, our entire lives, and those of our kids, would've come crashing down should anyone have ever found out. We both would've needed to move away because we are so entrenched in the "social" scene where we live. So we are trying to end it, but it's hard.

It's a shame. We love each other, but divorce is not an option for either of us. Don't want to lose seeing our kids daily and financially it doesn't make sense at the moment. Our kids are at the age where it would be years before we could actually leave our spouses. To risky to keep this up for that long.

+1 but we stopped right before it became an affair.
