School zone search in MLS listings?

Is there a way to search for what's for sale in a particular school pyramid? I am only interested in two Northern Virginia schools and I know that realtors can do this but what about the public?

This is possible, go to Longandfoster.com At the bottom right, you can choose by a certain school.

Redfin allows to search by specific school.

You can also search by school on this site I found:

http://www.yournovarealestate.com/search

Although that may only be for Virginia.

RedFin makes it very easy, type and go (set up alerts too): https://www.redfin.com/school/65135/VA/Burke/Terra-Centre-Elementary-School/real-estate

Searching on third party sites by entering a school district is simply not a good option. Have your realtor set it up and here's why. MRIS, who powers our MLS system doesn't require that we enter school information and many do not. As agents and if they know how, we can set up a search within school boundaries and will include properties in which the agent has not entered the school information. As boundaries do change, I would still suggest verifying if its near a border.

Go onto the respective school djstrict's website and go to "find schools" or whatever is similar. Most school district websites have a place where you can enter an address and it will show the currently zoned schools

RedFin does it automatically. You're not going to get a realtor to create you custom shape files. They don't even know how.

The Redfin search function by school district is good, although it doesn't always have all the boundaries up to date. That's more of an issue in a place like Loudoun that continues to open new schools than in the closet-in suburbs.
