Donald, Hillary, Bernie, and the bathroom.

I'd like to thank Bernie Sanders for pointing out the obvious, and for being classy. At this point, I think Donald Trump is just grasping at straws to say the most outlandish things possible in an effort to stay relevant.

Gotta keep up the ratings! And have some interesting clips for the reality tv show!

I think what Trump said was pretty stupid, but why couldn’t Clinton share a bathroom? This is what he should have focused on.....

And when the debate went to a long commercial break Clinton lost out to Lis Smith, the caffeine-guzzling deputy campaign manager for former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, who beat her to the restroom. Smith declined to comment for the story.

A top Clinton staffer who was strategically posted outside the bathroom (presumably to avoid these kinds of situations) gave Smith a verbal OK to make a quick pit stop, according to one person familiar with the ladies’ line.

The women’s room included multiple stalls, so it’s not entirely clear why Clinton and Smith couldn’t both use the facilities. Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill declined to comment for the story, but said there wasn’t a security reason preventing the former secretary of state from sharing a bathroom.

It's hard to believe her bathroom decisions are up for discussion. Unless she's having anonymous sex in there, it's none of our business.

I agree this is what Trump should have focused on if he was going to bring up the subject.

What comes across is her sense of entitlement if the above report is accurate. As you say, there seems no reason why she could not share a bathroom if there were multiple stalls.

Trump is disgusting. I don't want to talk about it.

I completely disagree with this. A sense of entitlement would have been Clinton's staffer denying Smith entry until after Clinton used the bathroom. We have no idea why she didn't want to share the bathroom. Perhaps she was having some GI discomfort and was uncomfortable subjecting someone else to that. Or maybe she has some kind of ritual to help pump herself up during events like this (I'm thinking something like Amy Cuddy's power poses) and is too embarrassed to do it in front of other people. We have no idea why this happened, and you are merely jumping to uninformed conclusions to reinforce your own biases. Let's do better than that.

It really is not a matter of whether Clinton had a good reason for not wanting to share a rest room with multiple stalls.

My point is if Trump had focused on that instead of what he did he'd have been able to capitalize on it better. Most Americans - and especially his audience - who routinely share a bathroom with multiple stalls in a public place would relate to Trump accusing her of feeling entitled.

OTOH, Trump has done just fine with the tactics he has used so who am I to be advising him?

I tweeted something about this, how the poor woman can't even pee without attracting attention. What a stupid thing to focus on.

If I were Clinton, I would not want someone else using the facilities in with me. God forbid she inadvertently farts.

Think of all the gossip if HRC had been alone with a top MO'M adviser!

I have to say Trump's comments are effective on a psychological level. Now when i see HRC i have an unpleasant visual that pops up in my head.

Mr. Entitled talking about someone else being entitled?

Really? I'm much more concerned about a frail old woman being elected a president of anything. She wants it bad, and I get it. After being shafted in 2008, this is a do-or-die kind of thing. But honestly... Isn't she human? Wouldn't she rather spend time with family, relaxing and enjoying the wealth she amassed during her years in politics? Ugh.
