Is Longchamp poor quality or did I buy a knockoff?

So I bought myself a Longchamp LePliage on eBay and think I bought a knockoff. It just seems cheap and I'm disappointed. For instance, You can see the stitching inside of the bag where the handles are attached, etc. I expected more... Is the normal or a sign that I got ripped off?

I bought my Le Pliage at Longchamp in Paris and I still think it seems cheap. But, yeah, eBay can be tricky. Do you know someone with a certified genuine one you can compare?

I bought my Le Pliage at the Longchamp store and didn't think the construction was great.

I'm going to check out Nordstrom or the Longchamp store. I'm embarrassed to admit to anyone IRL that I think I got ripped off. I mean, it was a realistic price and they said it was authentic

I love Longchamp, and bought a super bag on eBay. NOT Le Pliage, which for L is a secondary collection. Like every quality leather goods store, they manufacture certain lines with different attention to details. Le Pliage is probably the cheapest line they have, and you get what you pay for.

Where did you buy it from, OP?

Never mind, somehow I overlooked the ebay mention in your OP.

I've had my longchamp leather bag for over 10 years and it shows no signs of wear, although the I use it daily.

I got mine off eBay and was able to see the first one I bought was fake (I returned it) but my second was real

I bought mine on sale at nordstroms. The thing is indestructible.

Mine have all come from the Longchamps store and they are total workhorses. My current one is 8 years old and just now needs to be replaced.

Great link. Thank you.

Question: Why would anyone pay that kind of money for something made in China?

Italy, France, etc. - fine.

Asia, NO.

I have one that is 20 years old. And two others that are new. The ones on EBay are fakes. You can tell by the smell. Also there is a link on EBay to determine fakes.

I am no longer a coach fan (have a lot of 80s and 90s bags), but you do know Coach is made in China now, right?

some longchamp le pliage are still made in france, but most made for the us market are made in china. you're more likely to find one made in france if you buy it in europe, plus they are way cheaper there.
