When AAP Centers disappear will DCUM remove AAP as a section?

You'll be among the rest of the VA Public school section

I don't think you're really paying attention. No one's mentioned doing away with AAP.

When AAP centers do not disappear, and continue on as they are or changed, I hope DCUM will remove AAP as a section. It's very painful to read this forum, the vitriol and craziness is shocking.

How come Maryland doesn't have a "GT extra special super dupper better than your kids" section?

There would be no craziness if this were not a playground for hateful posters who have no connection to the program. Why are you here anyway if it causes you pain?

Your ignorance is showing. MoCo has highly gifted centers.

Not the PP, but every single FCPS taxpayer has a "connection to the program". Those of us whose children attend centers as their base schools, have a particular connection to this program, even if our kids aren't in AAP. The AAP/GE dynamic affects everything at those schools, especially socially.

This forum is a place where parents come to express their thoughts about AAP, even if those thoughts aren't spoken aloud very often IRL.

Thanks maybe you should use that energy to help out the MoCo section and open their own special supper section.

This forum is not just for AAP centers but for the AAP program. Even if centers are eliminated, schools will still have AAP, levels 2, 3 and 4. So no, this section should not be removed.

Because there's little activity over at Fairfax Underground.

Pgcps has separate schools for g/t. It exists.

It was created awhile back specifically at the behest of people on the Va. School Forum who were tired of all the posts about scores needed to get into AAP.
So a separate section was created. There will always be an AAP program even if centers are done away with.
