Let's share some ideas!
Lowcost ideas on my end: fresh flowers; listen to my music; go out for coffee with a favorite book |
Overpriced coffee drinks.
Buying new books. If I'm really feeling brave I will invest in a once-a-year massage! |
Sleep in |
I'm thrilled just to go get coffee at Starbucks and sit and read a good book for 2 hours while hubby stays home and toddler is napping.
On the spendy side, I get Pandora beads and (to me) luxurious handbags. |
Take some time by myself to study Spanish.
Watch reality shows with no redeeming social value. |
man/ped
massage starbucks |
I buy myself something online - because it's too hard to actually make it out to a store. |
Spa treatments and trashy celeb magazines. |
Allow myself to ignore the house needs dusting or vaccumming or whatever and let myself veg on the couch and watch "Lost" DH is not allowed to interupt.
|
I get a pedicure every 2 weeks (3 in the winter). |
Cruising DCUM |
This week I'm hungry for a cranial massage. They focus on your head and neck for a full 45min. Sometimes I do a foot only reflexology for a full 45min. I just need my "burnt ends" taken care of and I'm happy. |
I did this not too long ago at Einsteins Bagels and guess what? A family with a baby and toddler plunk down right next to me - so much for my moment of zen. |
I second that -- except my DH watches Lost with me.....love it! |
I just went 6 days alone to visit my sister in another state, we had su much fun!! |
