Early morning to BWI: Uber or taxi?

I've never used Uber (I know, I know, but I'm a suburban SAHM and haven't had an opportunity). Tomorrow morning we need a 5:30 a.m. pickup in Silver Spring (just outside the Beltway) to drive our family of five to BWI. Should I just use Barwood or another cab service (which has worked fine for us in the past) or should I try Uber? I'm a little dubious that we could get a big enough vehicle (must be an SUV or minivan to fit five of us plus luggage) at that early hour with Uber, but maybe I'm wrong? We can't drive to the airport and park because our return flight is into National instead of BWI.

You'll need to do uber XL with five people. Look into that.

OP here-- also, how would the costs compare? Taxi is about $85..

You can do an uber cost estimate through the app. And yes you need uber xl for that many people

Uber would be cheaper unless there's a surge.

Do you need car seats??
