I don't want the whole duck, only the breast.
Tia! |
| I would check with Whole Foods. They have all kinds of meat products you can’t find in most stores. |
| The Cathedral Commons Giant has them. |
| Believe it or not, I get duck breast all the time at Giant and it's quite good (and I'm picky). You should call the butcher ahead of time to make sure they have it in stock. I frequently get it at the Van Ness Giant, but it's available elsewhere as well. |

Wagshal's
Whole Foods - they will order it for you if they don't have it in stock, just call the butcher |
| Thanks!! |
| On a duck. |
Q. How do you get down from an elephant? A. You don't, you get down from a duck. |

OP here. I just wanted to thank everyone who replied and I called Giant and they do have duck breasts. It turns out though that duck breasts and magret are not the same thing(magret is from a different breed of ducks) and I could only find magret online since it is what my relatives asked for. I have never eaten neither, but will try magret now and duck breast later on to see if there is a real difference.
I ordered it from a site called D'Artagnan and they seem to have pretty cool stuff. It is also sold at Costco, but only through the website. |

Interesting! I have never heard of magret.
In case anyone else is looking for regular duck, they always have duck breasts at Balducci's, and I have also gotten it from the poultry stand at the Eastern Market. |
| I have bought D'Artagnan duck breasts at Wegmans. Don't know if they have magret. |
| Giant often has them, and oddly often Shoppers. |
| The Giants in my rotation have D'artagnan including magret. |

You can order a smoked one at Harrington's. (Also smoked pheasant.)
