(S/O) Sitting in a coffee shop...

Anonymous
I am sitting here in a coffee shop drinking my coffee and nominally working. I am male, in my mid 50's. A beautiful young woman sat next to me, and shared my outlet. I figure I have three options:

1) assume this is an invitation, and flirt,
2) ignore and keep working
3) write about it on DCUM.

Why do you think it was an invitation? Outlets are prime real estate in DC.

2.

You are mostly invisible to her.

She needed to plug in her device = she needed to plug in her device. That was not "an invitation."

Obviously. And what I did was post it to DCUM and continue to work

This was a stupid thread.

It was a result of the thread a while back about men sitting down next to women and trying to hit. I was trying to be funny on the thread. I apparently failed.

Sorry, op. It's early. A lot of us haven't had coffee yet.

If the coffee shop is entirely empty and outlets are a-plenty, it may well be (1). OP, do you look rich? I hear money is an aphrodisiac to women, although I'm just "Winchester rich" so I wouldn't know how that works in DC.

What is "Winchester rich"?

Not a flirt, just an honest question from a married DC native who's never been to Winchester, wherever that is ...

If it was me, you should have flirted

I thought it was funny OP (and I haven't had coffee yet)!

Was it the only outlet available or were there plenty to chose from?
