DCUM is not going to by your propaganda network. You have a habit of posting a controversial subject line and a link to something from a very biased source. Of course an anti-immigrant group is going to say critical things about immigrants. What else do you expect? Your post was nothing more than your subject line, a link, and two or three words. We have clear guidelines that we expect a bit more than that.

Ryan and Republicans and H2B are just another government give away to a special interest. CIS does a good job at statistics and fact checking. No need to debate facts. just throw insults about anti-immigrant racists.

Jeff posted that he once worked with a room full of Indians, and thought they were very nice. He thinks it is normal for a company to hire from only one group of people. Perfectly ok. What are the odds that a company hires all its temporary workers from one country?

The Indians were nice, but that was not the point I made. They were skilled and good at their jobs. I think you are upset at your lack of white privilege. A skilled American IT worker could successfully compete with the immigrants, as I did. Americans who lacked skills got beat out. You should probably spend less time reading reports from racist organizations and more time improving your skill set.

there you go again. calling people racist just because you disagree. Please show CIS statistics that are racist.

Americans are not beat out by skills. You clearly have not worked in the IT group of a large corporation. Every day I have to fix issues created by people that can't communicate or program. Thread problems and class loader were recent problems that the H1Bs had no clue on, could not communicate about, and had to be fixed by "citizen" developers. H1Bs and their related group, They are indentured servants for 3 years, cheap and desperate.

And you missed the key point.

These are not the 1% IT jobs going to top developers, these are the 99% IT jobs that are good jobs, maintenance developers, testers, dbas, unix admins, change management, systems analysts ...

that in 80s and 90s would have gone to entry level college graduates but in 2015, these jobs go to H1Bs, wall to wall as you say of nice people, that take good jobs from american entry level college graduates.

It is not the best policy for the US but like most laws setup by US gov, it becomes impossible to repeal after special interests have put their claws into something.
