Hi
We are looking at downtown daycares and was wondering if anyone had experience with toddler program at Bright Horizons L Street or 2200 Penn Street CCLC?

Interesting. We actually passed on BH L St slot for CCLC. Nothing against BH's, we just thought CCLC was abetter fit for our kid. Your kid may be different.

CCLC is good. We sent our two LOs there when they first opened. The teachers are on the younger side, but they are vibrant and innovative.
One of the really cool things they did when we were there was send a daily update, with photos, of what the kids did that day. Minor, but I felt it was a nice touch. We have been in more expensive daycares and have received less attention. Reggio circulum.

The only cons we had were building space/classroom sizes and communication from front office. The rooms are a bit on the small side due to the daycare's location. during the warmer months that not a problem since they went out quite a lot. The winter months though, if the weather is bad, they were pretty much in their room. Communication from FO could be better (such as notifying parents of important dates timely), but it wasn't a huge concern, and the director, at the time improved, in this area.

Overall, we highly recommend, and we have another one, CCLC will definitely be one of our top choices.
