Do you like your husband's friends?

Anonymous
Why or why not? If not, do you say anything about him (or her) to DH?
Anonymous
Yes, I do. There are one or two that I think can be a pain because of their behaviors (flake out constantly on plans, bring annoying friends of friends around, etc.) but we deal with that.
Anonymous
Yes. They are generally smart, kind, fun people. I can't think of one of his friends that I dislike. He does have aquaintances who we see occasionally but neither of us particularly likes.

He has zero friends.

PP here--I make sure my husband knows which specific behaviors about XYZ are difficult for me and why--for example, X is always flaking on plans and it bothers me so if we are going to do something with X, he knows to confirm. Likewise, Y always is broke and makes us pay, so if we want to meet Y, he needs to understand it will be somewhere cheap.

Don't like the drug dealer and the hunters. They are not allowed in the house when I am present.

Yes, I get along very well with his friends and their SOs. There is one oldvfriend cant stand, but thankfully rarely see him.

You don't allow hunters in your house? Why? It's a hobby.

I like one! His best friend, I can't stand. I don't like him because he's a loser. No goals, no ambition, lazy, messy, doesn't exercise or take of himself in anyway and did I mention lazy. This man is so pathetic that his wife divorced him because she got sick of working to take care of their family (of four) while he blew money on one business venture after another. All failures. He was in Georgetown law school when they married by the way, before you go saying "she should have known".

Hmmm .... yes, I think I do. One or two of them I don't respect because I dislike their wives, but in and of themselves, yes I like them. They're kind, funny, smart. We vacation with several.
Anonymous
Not really. I am much younger than he is so his friends and their wives were not very nice to me.

Everyone knows GULC is at the basement of t14.

She should've known

Yes he has good friends. Contrast to ex-boyfriends and also some male friends, whose buddies were real eyebrow-raisers.

Most of his friends are better people than he is...

Yes, I can't think of anyone that raises my eyebrows. He has great friends who are generally good people.
