bermuda?

Okay I am getting prices like 450 a night for Elbow Beach and Fairmont. Am I crazy that I was thinking the economy would make these prices better this summer??? Any other beach places for a quick getaway????

Bermuda's always been expensive. Are you set on it or open to other places?

Bermuda is always expensive. Always. Worth it if you have the money (we loved it) but it is expensive. One suggestion: snag a deal on a cruise to Bermuda and stay on board while still seeing the island. Ships leave out of NY and (I think) Baltimore.

Bermuda is very expensive and you are looking in the high season at the top resorts. Try Grotto Bay, Aunt Nea's Hillside, Pink Bay, basically try the ones that aren't at the top end of the price chart. But I will tell you the Fairmount Southhampton is worth the cost!!!!!

Fairmont Hamilton Princess has some lower prices for June. I just checked last week saw $250/night for the end of June. We stayed there a few years ago and it is very nice. Plus, it is not as isolated as the Southampton (you can take a boat to the Southampton and use their beach if you want). Flights are still pricey, though - about $400 r/t with taxes.

ykss anyone have some other good ideas for a family of four--need a direct flight since one of the kids is squirmy (3) and have a newborn.

Thank in advance!

If you are looking for a beach, what about flying to FL, direct flights into Tampa or FLL or Miami.

Any resorts that you thought were great?? Also-we are thinking late July--would it be too muggy then for little people? One of the reasons we were thinking Bermuda is that it isn't supposed to be as muggy..I guess because it's an island?

Flights to Bermuda are pricey but I predict that with travel down this summer, there will be sales from DCA to BDA, or try USA3000, they are the discounter to Bermuda. Have you looked at packages, there is always a summer promotion for Bermuda.

If you are looking an island trip that is non stop, what about Puerto Rico?
