I didn't pay attention to the name, but yeah that's pretty bad. Makes me think of Wolfsheim rigging the World Series from The Great Gatsby.

I think that was partially inspired by real life racketeer Arnold Rothstein who was thought to have rigged the 1919 World Series. But yes, lazy writing with these stereotypical, racist tropes.

Well, don't watch Entourage--the Ari Gold character will give you spasms for stereotypes.

Martin Frankel, Bernie Madeoff, Jack Abramoff spring to mind when you think of embezzlement, so Hoffman is hardly a stretch.

watching nashville right now. God I want to rip my ears off if I have to hear Scarlet speak one more time. That weird baby voice and her inability to actually open her mouth and enunciate is so fucking irritating. I know she is australian so maybe this is what she thinks a hillbilly sounds like??

I love to imitate her - it's so easy. She is a horrible actress. (But seems like a lovely person in real life.)
