Nuggets - What sauce do they ask you if you want??

I have noticed in the last few years that each time I order nuggets for my DS the McDonald's person asks if I want BBQ sauce. It doesn't matter where, if it's DC, MD or VA, invariably I'm asked if I want it. But when I inquire with others, they are asked - What kind of sauce would you like? What gives? Can they see me? Or is it all audio at the drive-thru?

They seem to always assume our kids want bbq sauce in Happy Meals with chicken nuggets.

I've never ordered McNuggets, but I assume BBQ is the most popular sauce, so they save time by asking you if you want it. It's faster than asking "What kind of sauce do you want?" and having you say "What sauces do you have?" And them listing all of them, only to have you choose "BBQ."

My kids love McNuggets! They like ketchup, but sometimes ask for BBQ or Sweet and Sour Sauce.

So do I. But the best is the hot mustard mixed with the sweet & sour.

It depresses me that the default offered to OP is BBQ. Is this in VA by any chance? BBQ is a southern thing.

You may want to get outside the beltway once in a while. There are actually people that GASP eat shit like that once a week!!! It happens! McDonald's isn't staying in business from once per month visits from us.

Tried a few mc nuggets the other day...it was like eating a piece of salt. They offer bbq b/c it's cheaper.

I loved mcnuggets as a kid and this is exactly how I turned out. Oh wait, actually no, not at all.
