Wolford is often strongly recommended here. I have two questions: how does the sizing work? Based on weight and height? Should I go a size up to avoid rolling down and muffin top? Also, I want a pair of black hose, not an opaque tights. I do not want super sheer. Should I go with 50 denier or 20 denier. I understand that 10 denier is super sheer. I cannot go to the store in Tysons. I need to order online( Amazon sells wolford), and hence my questions. TIA. |
Yes the sizing is on weight and height. But you need to take into account your leg length. I am 5'7 but the tights which might be 5'4-5'7 won't do because my legs are proportionately very long. I'd go for 5'7 to 5'9 usually even if the body bit comes up to under my bra, so they don't slide down the crotch. |
I'm 5'3 and 108 and wear a small.
Go to the wolford site and read the descriptions, which I think are pretty helpful. |
Thanks PPs. What about the denier thing? |
I size up for comfort |
I just ordered some - I will post back on Wednesday when they arrive. I got 50 denier and 20. |
Ok I tried mine on. I love the 50 denier. It is the perfect balance between tights and hose. Perfect for every day at work.
The 20 denier are great for a cocktail dress. Both are so comfy. I followed the size guidelines which put me in a large, and they fit great. |
Thanks for the update PP. |
