No class gift this year at preschool, please help

Anonymous
In the past, our room moms have collected money for an amex gift card. The room moms this year have declared no class gift, so I have zero idea what to give and to whom. We have a primary teacher and a support type teacher. Preschool is a few hours a day. We also have art, music, fitness, and something else for 30 minutes once a week. Should I still do amex gift cards? or do people usually do something like starbucks or target??

Target or find out a teacher's interest and get a gift card for that (i.e. one liked knitting so we got a gift card to a local store).

I wonder if your child is in my child's class! Did you just get an email about this an hour ago?

I was not planning to do anything for the specials teachers. I am not even sure what their names are to be honest. I was just going to give gift cards to the primary and assistant teachers. I think amex or target are best, something anyone could use. (I personally love starbucks gift cards too but my husband does not drink coffee, so I always hear about why that's a stupid gift!)

We are in Arlington, at a 1/2 day preschool. Usually the room moms collect for just the teachers. I don't think the music/art/science teachers get anything. I was a room mom last year, and the specials teachers were never mentioned at our room parents meetings.
I'd just do a $25 gift card to each of the two teachers to Target or Amazon.

Haha, perhaps we are in the same class I will do gift cards as well then and skip the specials teachers!

I used to do a visa or target gift card, but now I go old school and just give cash. It's easy for me and it's cash (money) for them.

If you do give gifts to the specials teachers, how much? We do class gifts to the primary teachers and I do my own personal gift to them as well. But last year I hadn't even thought about the specials teachers. Is a $10 gift card appropriate?

Former preschool teacher -- I always liked receiving a Target card, or even cash. I don't recommend Starbucks cards, as not everyone goes to Starbucks.

Many parents would give me and my assistant $10 for the holidays (p/t preschool), and others would give $20. I also received a lot of chocolates at Christmastime.

I usually do nice hand cream sets since teachers wash their hands so much.
