Subject says it all. Do you recommend the Citiz or Pixie machine for everyday use?

I'm old school and unfamiliar with the new line. Wanted to go with what I'm familiar with.. which is the older lines...

NO experience with the Pixie, but we've been very happy with our Citiz. Had it for several years now, and it's still going strong.

I got the Pixie purely out of concern for countertop space in my small-ish kitchen. Love it. I would have gotten the Vertuoline except it's huge.

I also was going for small and bought the Pixie. Just an FYI for DC area Nespresso owners.... the Nespresso at Bloomingdales in Chevy Chase has periodic free coffee making classes. It's basically a small group interactive demo. It was fun and they had snacks, made us a coffee based drink and then gave us a goody bag with free pods, a cute cup/saucer set and some coffee making pamphlets. They said they stop for the winter but will start up again in Spring.

Pixie without a doubt. It is a newer model than Citiz and it heats water faster than any other model. We have had our pixie for w years now and it is going strong.

But why is the citiz more expensive than the pixie?
