Any suggestions?

Looking in the B-CC district, walkable to town, up to 1.2M

RF buyer rebates are less than 1%. You're better off with i-agent and glasshouse.

I thought about using Redfin as an agent, and then stopped. I reached out, it took 2 weeks for them to respond. That was strike one. and then the response time improved, but turned to 2-3 days. I realize I wasn't a client, but communication is important and I would hope a realtor could respond within 24hrs, even with a "received your email, out of town, will be in touch when back."

But what really turned me off from them though, was when I went to a Redfin open house. We walked into a home, and the agent was sitting on the sofa, looked up at her phone, said hello, and then went back to her phone. We were the only ones in the house, there was no effort to introduce herself, tell us anything about the place, etc. That would worry me if I was selling with them, but also it made me second guess their overall professionalism to the point that I gave up on them.

I'm taking the silence and comments of the two posters that the redfin idea might not have been the best.

Okay, how about a non-redfin agent? We need to see houses this Saturday - walkable to the town, trying to stay under 1.2.

I went through the old posts and there was only one agent group mentioned twice (went through the 3 sets of posts from the last year), a mother/daughter group.

redfin is fine, don't worry about the haters on here. Are you going to get someone to jump up, wipe your ass and fold the toilet paper ends into pretty flowers (no). But is that really worth the full 3% of your sale price.

Kris Paolini is a popular Redfin agent in B-CC

OP - you can set up a tour of several houses online with them - I did that several times when I was looking at homes. It was really easy an they contact me in less than 24 hours every time. It's no obligation so if you don't like the agent, you are under no obligation to use them - even for a house you toured with them.

PP here - I will also ditto the glasshouse rec - they are excellent and ultimately, who I ended up using for my purchase.

I used a RedFin agent to sell my house, Russell Chandler. He is very responsive and excellent customer service.

Thanks for the name, but the redfin site says "Kris is not taking new clients at this time." I don't think I've ever seen that before.

In the $1m+ range we've been able to get some of our users 2.25% cash back, and they've all been pleased with the results.

Are you a brokerage? What are you? I don't understand.

No, we are not a brokerage. We are two Hokies with Computer Engineering degrees and a DC-based startup where sellers can search for buyers. In the past year+ of growing this company I've met lots of agents and I realize that most people want to use agents, so when someone asks, we request bids from our network of partner agents to help our users save money. Given that it's slow season buyers/sellers in the $1m+ range could probably get a 2.5% rebate from eager, experienced agents. (No, I am not an agent, and, yes, it's perfectly legal.)

We used Cindy Chambers a few years ago and were happy.
