Very confused about the process and would appreciate help. We first got our IEP in January and our current IEP says the projected annual review date is Jan. 2016. However, we had an official IEP meeting where we updated services in March of 2015 so wouldn't the annual review actually not be until March 2016?

| No, periodic reviews do not replace annual reviews. Annual reviews are where all of the goals and service hours are updated. As you already figured out, either you or the school can call for additional meetings as well. |

Annual reviews are one year from the last annual IEP. You can call for meetings in between, but it typically won't replace an annual (unless it's close to an annual, and it is treated like one - i.e. if done in December instead).
Re evals, also called triennials, are at least every 3 years and are a full reevaluation (testing, etc). |
