Blake Lively- Jason Baldoni and NYT - False Light claims

For those who think BL made it all up and it was all lies and a master plan from the beginning to take over and get rights....why did her complaints of SH stop during the second filming phase? Why didn't she continue to lie and make up more stories of things JB was doing? There were more sex and intimate scenes in the 2024 filming time frame - why didn't she capitalize on those to really ramp up the lies and accuse him of even more serious things if that was her only goal?

Because she got control of the movie. And that would have been enough until she started getting bad press and Justin refused to sell the rights to the second movie. Mostly the latter.

She had her signed document already. Phase 2 of filming was when she continuously made threats to get what she wanted. Sony has turned on her and there’s a THR article today that details multiple times Blake went to Sony with threats to get what she wanted and they had to play mediator with Wayfarer. At one point Sony even told Baldoni “We are in it with you – at the end of this pain is a BIG WIN!!!” And at another point, Wayfarer took the extraordinary step of documenting with lawyers that they were signing another of Blake’s demands (editing I think) under duress. Someone on Reddit said they think Sony’s leaking all this to compel BL and RR to settle b/c they’re over it and don’t want to be dragged into this court case.

THR owner Jay Penske is a client of Feeedman. I imagine it's a Baldoni friendly outlet so I doubt it's Sony leaking to them. I also speculate the Jenny Slate complaint got leaked there to get ahead of it and paint it in the best light possible for Heath.

I thought PP had a solid point. And she didn't have full control then. She had her opportunity to make her cut, but that didn't guarantee it was getting used, and apparently they did add some of Baldoni's stuff back in. I don't remember if the rooftop scene was phase 1 or 2, but I remember some whiny texts from her about not being appreciated and her ultimately getting her way. And she got her way on the PGA mark, but she had to continually push. The whole movie was a power struggle so it's not like there was a time she could formally consider herself in control. She had to keep maneuvering and pushing and yet she does not appear to have leveraged SH during that time.

And also, just, how weird that they had to film love scenes with each other while all this is going on, where they hate each other and are plotting against each other in the background.

I have often thought the same. It had to be so awkward on set and then they call Action and suddenly they are acting like they are in love. I can't imagine doing that!

What control did she get at that time (January)? Just after the complaint and during the second phase of filming?

THR may have sources but those sources are third party bystanders who aren't directly with either Justin or Blake. If Sony leaked it then it wouldn't be so vauge and THR wouldn't be editing details back and forth.

So the latest theories focus on Blake pursuing the producing credit as a way to promote herself as a viable producing partner for Taylor Swift’s directorial debut, against other options such as Reese Witherspoon. Theories link Sony’s support of all her demands because they too want to work with Taylor.
