Fire pit?

If you have a fire pit -- do you love it? How often do you use it? Do you have a specific one to recommend? There are so many options. Thanks!

I bought one from Lowes for about $150 (big round fire pit with iron legs) IIRC. We use it once in a while in the fall and even in the winter. Kids love it. I put it on our lower deck and slide a couple baking trays filled with water underneath to make sure the heat does not damage the deck.

Make sure you get one with holes at the bottom for proper drainage (if you leave it outdoor).

Yes! We got one from lowes too and it wa just about $100. Used it all the time in the fall. Roasted tons of march mellows and generally enjoyed it.

Home Depot, $30. No frills, but we use it a few times a year and it is great!

We bought a table with fire pit that holds a propane tank. It was pricey (about 2k). Use it all the time. S'mores, hot dogs, warmth. No regrets. Great gatherings.

We love ours. We use it in the summer to roast hotdogs and s'mores, in the fall with hot chocolate, and we could even use it in the winter and spring if we wanted. It's great when we have guests as well.

I got it from Home Depot, and it's just a simple iron fire pit that has a lid and an optional cooking grate. It's wood burning, so we just keep wood on hand.

bumping this up. I am currently shopping for one now. I don't want to spend a fortune but I keep hearing to not buy a cheap one because it will rust and fall apart.
What are the key things to look for?
Holes in bottom?
Recommendations?
