Anyone already researched this one? I see that there are USA Today rankings for the opthamology programs in general, but not for ped opthamology programs. JH is 3rd in the overall rankings, but again no data/rankings for ped programs.
We saw Vicente twice as well as another local one but have not been able to get to the root of our issue. The OT, the neuro psychiatrist and we believe there is an issue that is impeding our child. |
| I have a heritable eye condition and sought out the best I could. Try Michael Repka at Hopkins. I go to him because I am local at Hopkins but having seen many eye doctors in major cities I can say he is phenomenal. |
| Dr David Plotsky in Rockville, MD. He did surgery on my sons eyes when he was a toddler. |
| Dr. Repka - Wilmer Eye Institute in Baltimore. |
| Call Good beginnings, the PT/OT place in Falls church. They have an ophthalmologist they recommend who does vision therapy. |
Agree. |
+1 |
| Wilmer is the absolute best place in this area. I don't know their ped specialist but that should be your starting point. |
| Another vote for Michael Repka. He is great. |
| Another vote for plotsky |
+1. Wilmer is one of the tops in the country for opthamology. People fly here from other countries for Wilmer. |
| Repka. Vicente totally missed the boat with our child (told us condescendingly "to take a picture if we see it again but she's fine mom"). We have been oncology patients nonstop for 4.5 years since. Repka is a neuro ophthalmologist and he has been my child's doctor since. |
| Ed Parelhoff, no question. He has worked with our family for two generations and is extremely well respected by every peds specialist we've seen. He's great with kids too. |
| Dr. Stephen Glaser in Gaithersburg. Amazing!!!!! |
| Didn't like Hopkins and Repka at all. Maybe Children's Boston? Need more specifics to comment further. |
