question about shared risk at SG

Anonymous
I am thinking about signing up for shared risk thru GW. While going through the contract I read that I would have to pay $1000 per each ET and $2200 per each retrieval for "facility costs" plus $300 for anesthesia. So that's $3500 per round in addition to the $20,000 for shared risk! Does anyone know if SG also has those "facility costs" or other fees for each round if you are doing shared risk? Thanks!!!

Shady Grove doesn't charge these fees. We only paid for medications after we paid the shared risk fee.

I highly recommend calling their Shared Risk Patient Liaison, she answered every question I could think of and even gave me information I would have never thought about asking about. She won't bug you at all, if you decide Shared Risk isn't for you.

Honestly, I think their program is absolutely the best. I looked into several other programs and found that many had some sort of "catch"-- extra fees, a pregnancy is consider success, not a live baby, etc.

Good luck, it worked for us!

OP here, thanks for answering this question so quickly. We were hoping to stick with GW, but $3500K in fees PER ROUND can really add up. Oh well...
