MCPS First Grade?

We are leaving our Catholic school in the fall to go the public route. We are trying to decide whether or not to have DD repeat Kindergarten in MontCo or move to first grade. I can't seem to find the first grade curriculum or a report card on the website - can someone help direct me?

If you don't mind sharing, do you think the Catholic school did not adequately prepare your child for academic success in MCPS?

I'd also like to hear more on this, as I've had two friends with opposite experiences. Both children left the MCPS public system (elementary level) to attend Catholic schools and had a terrible time trying to catch up/keep up.
